Why Aren’t You Outsourcing?
Source: Management Catalyst
Only five percent of the 281 firms in the 2006 Rosenberg MAP Survey planned any significant outsourcing of 1040s in 2007.
Reasons include:
- Clients won’t like it.
- Low quality.
- Confidentiality/security.
- Insufficient cost savings.
- Patriotism.
Survey respondents who are active outsourcers did not see any of these reasons as valid.
Here are some persuasive reasons to outsource:
- Alleviate the tax season burden on staff and allow them to achieve the all important “work/life balance.”
- Alleviate the staff shortage.
- National firms do it, so why shouldn’t smaller firms?
Outsourcing, says Rosenberg, will become standard practice in CPA firms in time.
