A Model Mobility Initiative by Ohio
Source: California CPA Magazine
Licensed CPAs from other states can practice in Ohio on “temporary and incidental” engagements without notification.
Many states prohibit this kind of mobility because they cannot discipline out-of-state CPAs. But Ohio has a provision to register complaints with boards of other states and may revoke the out-of-state CPA’s privilege to practice in Ohio.
Several states are now (since the writing of this article) allowing out-of-state practitioners to serve in their states if they conform with Sec. 23 of the Uniform Accountancy Act.
