The Siegfried Group in Wilmington, Delaware, is de-accentuating its traditional accounting and consulting services to concentrate on its “resource services” business that makes professionals available to large organizations, including one of the Big Four. This has been the largest growth area for Siegfried over the last several years, as CFOs and other financial executives search for people to supplement their internal staffs for specific projects.

Outsourcing of this type may include special financial statements for carve-outs, merger projects, Sarbanes-Oxley work, forecasting, etc. The resource service division grew from $12 million in 2003 to $73 million in 2005, and is expected to reach $100 million this year.

Siegfried employs 500 professionals. The firm’s traditional clients are being transitioned to Parente Randolph.
