Here are the reasons the ad is effective:

  • There is one clear objective—to generate a call for a special report.
  • It has a persuasive headline.
  • It includes two competitive advantages, first that the advertiser is very aggressive, and second that the firm has 22 years of experience.
  • It uses the word “free,” generally recognized to be a powerful word.
  • There is a photograph of a real person.
  • It strongly implies that the reader will avoid pain by using the advertiser’s services.
  • There is no risk in responding.
  • Responding is easy.
  • The advertiser plans to run this ad many times. If it did not, it would be important to include a deadline to create urgency.
