J.H. Cohn, Roseland, New Jersey, established a program called J.H. Cohn Professional Women. It includes leadership and professional development offerings, networking opportunities, a mentoring program, seminars, and a newsletter with articles on work/life subjects and regular updates on program developments. The firm expects to begin sending it everyone in the firm.

The program was launched in fall 2005. The number of women partners and senior managers are now 8.5 percent and 31.8 percent, respectively. The goal is to double the number of women executives and significantly increase the number of women partners in the next two years.

Partner Lynn Lagomarsino is director of the program. An outside consultant helped develop the plan using a survey to get input from the staff.
