Prepare an Elevator Speech

Prepare an Elevator Speech

Source: Rain Today

If someone you meet in an elevator asks you what you do, it may be a marketing opportunity. You may have only 10 seconds to get him or her interested. Here’s what you do:

  1. Create a 10-second presentation and practice it.
  2. Don’t talk about yourself. Just say who you work for, and how your company helps its clients.
  3. The person’s response will imply either “ho hum” or “I’m interested.” If it’s the latter, you may have a new lead.

The elevator speech can be used whenever you have a brief period of time to get someone interested in you.
