Resources to Assist CPAs in Business Continuity Planning
Source: The CPA Letter
Business continuity planning has increased as a result of Sarbanes-Oxley legislation, NASD rules 3510 (Business Continuity Planning) and 3520 (Emergency Contact information), 9/11 and other terrorist attacks, Hurricane Katrina, ISO 28000 (an international standard for security management for the supply chain), and other causes.
AICPA members can now access state-of-the-art tools from Prism eSolutions to help evaluate and implement BCP in their practices and on behalf of their clients.
Prism provides a variety of resources for collecting information, creating action plans, and prioritizing use of resources in emergencies that may otherwise prevent the firm or company from continuing operations.
Prism provides Web-based assessment tools, library of BCP content, project management tools, document management and data collection. See www.cpa2biz.com/Affinity/Prism.htm.
