Blog About Taxes!

If you are a CPA and you are at a networking event in your local business community, you probably get informal tax questions as soon as the person you just met knows you are a CPA. You might be the most highly qualified audit expert in your market but if you have CPA after your name people assume know everything about taxes!
Almost every firm has a tax guru. What about yours? Is he or she blogging about taxation? If you are the leader of the firm, encourage your tax partner to make this a goal for 2011.
It's not hard, nor does it take much time. It's a simple way your tax partner can make a huge contribution to branding your firm.
Make it short (or people won't read it). Three to five sentences about some tax newsworthy event will do.
Be consistent (blog on a regular schedule… daily, three times per week, every Monday).
