More Meetings, Less Gossip

In this blog entry, Gary Adamson offers two practical ideas to slow down the grapevine in your firm.
- MPs should meet with managers as often as quarterly to communicate clearly regarding major issues within the firm. The meeting should also enable dialogue between the MP and managers. The goal is to ensure that your managers are receiving clear, consistent communication from firm leadership.
- MPs should set up a meeting with the entire team, sans partners and managers. This meeting can occur less frequently, but when it does, the format should be open, allowing team members to ask questions. While not all information is appropriate to be shared, the meeting does increase communication and allow the team to hear answers directly from the MP.
