Updates to the Tangible Property Repair Regulations
2 CPE Credits - 11:00 A.M.- 12:45 P.M. PST
Hosted by KBKG

The IRS issued the final, revised Tangible Property Repair Regulations on September 13, 2013, for Sections 162(a) and 263(a), which modify and supersede the Temporary Regulations that were issued on December 23, 2011. While this is the fourth iteration of the Repair Regulations the IRS has released, it is the first time they have issued them in final form. In addition, the IRS also released proposed regulations for dispositions of tangible property under Section 168. Even though a formal 6-month period for comments will allow taxpayers to provide feedback, these final and proposed regulations are effective for tax years beginning Jan 1, 2014.

Principal, Gian Pazzia oversees all KBKG Cost Segregation operations nationally. He is also the subject matter expert for our 263(a) Repairs vs. Capitalization services.

Presenter, Alex Bagne Alex is the Director of KBKG's Repair Regulation practice. With more than 10 years of Big Four firm experience, Alex specializes in federal tax consulting strategies that have saved his clients millions of dollars. He has worked for Ernst & Young, Deloitte Tax, and PriceWaterhouseCoopers. His expertise includes cost segregation, energy efficiency incentives, research tax credits, fixed asset reviews, and the LIFO inventory method.
