Patrick McEvoy says, "Bull" to anyone who thinks it is impossible to get new clients from the Internet.
Try to identify a very, very, very narrow niche. Example: Widows over 65 with net worth over $5,000,000 and more than $1,000,000 in commercial real estate.
- Offer a free gift with high value, such as a special report relevant to this niche to demonstrate your knowledge.
- Set up a separate Website for this niche with a domain name like "FemaleRealEstateInvestor.com"
- Promote this Website with Google, ads in pertinent magazines, post card mailings, etc.
- Ask for information on the prospects so you can send them their gifts.
- Follow up regularly with other reports, recommendations, seminar announcements, etc.
- Don't fear providing so much information that they won't need you. It is rare that anyone will use the information in place of a professional like you.
- Make phone calls, not to sell, but to inquire about whether the information you are sending is valuable. Try to initiate a dialogue that results in a problem-solving meeting.
